Leave a Legacy

Leave a LegacyTemple Emanuel’s Legacy Initiative

In 2012, Temple Emanuel of Greater New Haven observed its 50th anniversary.   Founded by a group of visionary individuals, our synagogue has thrived as generation after generation has found the Temple a meaningful place to live their Judaism.

Vision for the Future:   While we celebrate our longevity, we give our attention also to our future.  Inspired by the idealism of our founders and the loyalty and dedication of our members through time, we have launched The Temple Emanuel Legacy Initiative.  Our purpose is to motivate past and present members of Temple Emanuel to leave a bequest or planned gift or to create an endowment dedicated to Temple Emanuel in their will.

The Temple Emanuel Legacy Initiative will enable our synagogue to:

  • Perpetuate the unique nature of Temple Emanuel’s engagement with Reform Jewish values, traditions, and customs in or community
  • Provide high quality Jewish education to the children of our community
  • Provide meaningful educational programs for adults in the congregation, the broader Jewish community, and, on occasion, the local interfaith community
  • Inspire children and adults to make Judaism a vital and relevant aspect of their lives

Invest in the future of Temple Emanuel.  Providing for a stable and vibrant future of our synagogue is one of the most important actions you can take as a committed member of Temple Emanuel, and of the greater Reform Jewish community.

We ask that you join us and other members who choose to Leave a Legacy to Temple Emanuel.  For more information, please contact the members of Temple Emanuel’s Legacy Committee: legacy@templeemanuel-gnh.org
