Hosting an Oneg
| December 17, 2010 - י טבת תשעא | Posted by P. Simon under Featured |
Uplifting prayers, thoughtful conversation, a bit of schmoozing topped off by a nosh! These contribute to making Shabbat at Temple Emanuel so special. Oneg Shabbat, Sabbath joy enhanced by refreshments after services, is a long-standing tradition at our congregation. Many thanks to those families who have helped to host an Oneg Shabbat. Each temple family is asked to host one or two Friday night Onegs during the year. The families are asked to bring a challah, juice, baked goods (homemade or purchased), fruit or cheese to add to the special joy of Shabbat.
Your help is needed to make Onegs possible! If you would like to participate in the joy of hosting an Oneg to honor a special event in your life, please contact Barbara Goldhamer at xsangel100@aol.com with the date you would like to participate.
